It's T-Mobile's tradition to love the Tradition. A couple of years back Magenta Colored Operator started selling its myTouch branded droids with the release of the myTouch 3G. Later myTouch 3G Slide was launched which was followed by the myTouch 4G and now today we have the fourth member of the myTouch family which is called yes, you got it right myTouch 4G Slide.
It is made by HTC and has starred in quite a few leaks over the past few months under the name HTC Doubleshot. The Taiwanese company claims it is its best camera phone to date. This statement alone was enough to get us excited about spending time with the device.

Now on with some specs. The phone is powered by a 1.2 GHz, dual-core Snapdragon processor. There is 4GB of internal storage and 768MB of RAM on board. The screen of the myTouch 4G Slide is a 3.7″ S-LCD capacitive unit with 16M colors, 480 x 800 pixels resolution. The usual for HTC, superb build quality is here as well. On the back of the device you will find its most talked about feature. The 8MP auto focus camera unit looks formidable even at first glance. It records video in full HD, and has enough capture modes to put a lot of point and shoot camera out there to shame. We made a video of the myTouch 4G Slide in action. You can check it out below:

The device runs Android’s latest 2.3.4 Gingerbread, dressed in HTC’s own Sense 3.0. As you will notice from the video above, the Sense UI has been slightly modified to T-Mobile’s liking. Thankfully though, all the eye candy we’ve come to expect from HTC Sense is still there. We have a review of the myTouch 4G Slide in the works so stay tuned for more impressions on this sharp shooter.
