Get Apple iOS 5, OTA Update is Available

Wow great news comes here, iOS 5 the latest Apple iOS beta version for developers was released on Saturday – number 5 and build was 9A5288d. This update is an OTA one, but if you don’t get that option in the “Software update” settings menu check out some answers after the brake.Aside from the iOS 5 beta itself developers also got the Xcode 4.2 Developer Preview 5, iTunes 10.5 Beta 5 and Apple TV Software beta 4.

The upgrade can be installed over the air, but before doing it you will have to erase the entire content and settings of your device (Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings). It’s strongly recommended that you back up your device before doing so, using your iTunes beta 4 or iCloud so that you can just restore all of your settings later on. According to MacRumors some users have experienced no trouble even without erasing their iPhones.
